FIRST LOOK: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2022

Christmas has arrived in Disney World, and we are attending the first night of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Be sure to come back throughout the night as we continue to update this blog with all of this year’s party details.

Arrival

As with the Halloween Party, party guests can begin entering Magic Kingdom at 4 PM. The park closes to day guests at 6 PM and the party begins at 7 PM and runs until midnight.

For guests already in Magic Kingdom when the party starts, there are wristband distribution locations located in the park, including this one in Tomorrowland.

Party Map and Ornament

Upon entering, Cast Members hand out party-exclusive park maps and a “commemorative 50th Anniversary holiday-themed keepsake.” This party-exclusive keepsake is an ornament, and our park reporter Chrissy noted how heavy and well-made it seemed.

Holiday treats, specialty foods, character greetings, photo opportunities, and event entertainment are all listed on the park map.

The map includes the list of the available attractions, food & beverage locations, merchandise, and holiday treat locations.

There were plenty of party-exclusive ornaments that Cast Members were distributing to guests. Usually, distribution takes place on Market Street, which is how they have you enter the party, but because of the rainy weather, it was in the Tomorrowland Terrace area tonight.

Holiday Treats

Throughout the party, you can stop at the ‘Holiday Treat’ locations to pick up cookies and festive drinks.

Treat locations are on the map and usually marked by the candy cane inflatable. However, we found some, like Pinocchio Village Haus, didn’t have an inflatable outside, so always refer to the map.

Holiday treats vary by location. At the first location, we found buttercream-frosted gingerbread cookies, and on the second stop, Cast Members were handing out classic chocolate chip cookies. Cast Members seemed to be generous with the cookies, and they offered us two cookies even though we were a party of one.

Allergy-friendly offerings were available at all the treat locations we visited.

When we inquired about the allergy-friendly treats, we were offered ‘Homefree’ double chocolate chip cookies as the allergy-friendly option.

Speciality Food & Beverage

Specialty food and beverages are available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for an additional cost, with some being party-exclusive.

Our first stop of the night for food was at Casey’s Corner for the ‘Holiday Dinner Dog,’ this is an all-beef hot dog topped with cranberry mustard, savory stuffing funnel cake, and cheese curds. Our in-the-park reporter Chrissy said she “loved” this one! This one is $12.99 and is available both during regular park hours and during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Characters

There are characters throughout the party – including party-exclusive characters.

First, we found Santa in Liberty Square behind the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe.

Moana is also at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and you can find her in the Enchanted Tiki Room.

Unfortunately, it was a very wet first Christmas Party, so we will be back next week to cover all the other details!

  • Thank you. Where is Market Street? The only MK street I could Google is Main Street.

    • It is to the right as you head towards Main Street and the castle, between Tony’s and the Confectionery. It is usually only open for events like parties and after the fireworks.
