First Look! Pictures & Video of “Olaf Draws!” Soft Open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
“Olaf Draws!” at The Magic of Disney Animation in Hollywood Studios soft opened today! Be sure to scroll all the way down for video from our visit this morning.
This attraction is located in the back right corner of the Animation building that officially opens in a few days~ September 14, 2026.
The concept of this experience is that a very funny Olaf audio-animatronic hosts a drawing class alongside a Disney animator. The Disney animator leads the lesson via pre-recorded video, much like the classes you can find onboard Disney Cruise Line voyages.

There were no official posted wait times for “Olaf Draws!” but there is a sign in the queue that shows when the next class begins, as pictured above. This does not mean that you’ll be in the next class, it’s just an indicator of when the next show starts.

Younger guests will have the opportunity to sit in these adorable sleigh desks closest to the stage and screen.

Everyone not in a sleigh will be seated at a desk like the one shown above. Drawing paper and pencils are provided.

Olaf, voiced by Josh Gad (obvi), is hilarious and adorable. He draws along with the audience and seems to have a real knack for illustration.

There will be nine Disney artists that will appear in this class via video. The subject of the class will change with each artist! Today, we learned how to draw Mickey from Dan Abraham, a Disney Director and Story Artist. Other classes will include:
Minnie Mouse with Hyun Min Lee, animatior
Donald Duck with Austin Traylor, animator
Genie with Eric Goldberg, animator
Moana with Samantha Vilfort, story artist
Stitch with Fawn Veerasunthorn, director and head of story
Olaf with Trent Correy, director
Ursula with Michael Woodside, animator
Judy Hopps & Nick Wilde with Byron Howard, director

Although it’s hard to beat Olaf’s sketch of the boss, our researcher came close.

We loved this attraction and can’t wait to learn to draw more Disney pals. Check out the video below for some Olaf fun!

Do we know if the rotation of classes and artists will be the same each day or will it be random?
For example would each day look like:
9AM: Donald
930: Moana
10: Genie
Kinda like if you are trying to complete them all!
