How To Get Early Park Admission at Universal Orlando with Touring Plans Travel

Early Park Admission at Universal gets you into the park up to an hour before the official park opening. That means shorter lines at the most popular attractions, lower crowds in the parks, and touring during cooler temperatures. In this article, we’ll tell you about three different ways to get this excellent advantage. For more details about how to use it effectively, see Universal for Newbies – Early Park Admission.

1. Purchase Admission Through Touring Plans Travel

All Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay admission purchased through TouringPlans Travel comes with Early Park Admission. Seriously, you get up to an hour of touring time before regular guests to experience select attractions such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World VelociCoaster, or Krakatau Aqua Coaster. This is a fantastic perk for those staying on Walt Disney World property who want to sample theme parks outside the house of mouse.

  • Are you saying that if we purchase our Universal park tickets through Touring Plans Travel we don’t need to stay at a Universal hotel in order to receive early admission?

    • That is what they are saying, and I can confirm that it does work. My family and I did this last summer and took advantage of the “buy 3 days, get 2 free” promotion they were having at the time. I was skeptical at first, but when it worked the first day, I was much relieved!

For us, the way it worked was we bought the tickets through Touring Plans Travel (Sarah Goff was my agent). She sent us information about how to claim our tickets once we got to Universal (basically put our information into a kiosk and tickets were printed our then and there), then we took them to the front gate, and we were in, and in early!

One thing I will say is that the early entry process was not as simple at Volcano Bay. Since riding a bus is a requirement to visit VB and the busses in the parking garage for day guest do not leave as early as those from the resort, we were behind most of the resort guests. We were still ahead of the other day guests, so we were still able to get on the park’s most popular slides before the rest of the day guests arrived.
