Last Chance for 2019’s Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt at Epcot

Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival is quickly coming to a close for this year on June 3. One hidden gem, even more appropriate because May 24 is National Scavenger Hunt Day, is Spike’s Pollen Nation Scavenger Hunt. Spike the Bee, who generally appeared alongside Donald or Pluto as a nemesis has decided to hide himself in many of the themed gardens around Epcot. Don’t worry–he’s just trying to help you learn to appreciate the wonderful plants on display.

Although you can look for Spike in the different gardens, one fun way to do it is by purchasing a scavenger hunt map. For $7, you get a map with the locations of the different gardens and stickers representing the flowers that he’s hiding with. Maps are sold at many locations throughout Epcot. Simply walk around the locations in Future World and World Showcase, find Spike and fill in your map.

Once you’ve completed your map, bring it back to Disney Traders (located right as you enter World Showcase from Future World) or World Traveler (at the International Gateway) and you can select from several different patch sets.

This activity is a great way to keep kids of all ages entertained as you wander around Epcot. But remember, like the Flower and Garden Festival, Spike will be buzzing away soon.

Have you done Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration for this year? Let us know in the comments.
