Limited Time Magic for September 16-20
For next week’s Limited Time Magic, guests will have the opportunity to sign up for two tours, one on each coast, that will offer behind the scenes looks at some of the Disney magic. This is the kick off to a new series of tours that will be part of Limited Time Magic.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, each morning select guests will get to go on a special walking tour of The Great Movie Ride before the park opens. Here, they will learn about the attraction, as well as history about the park itself. Once the tour has concluded, tour guests will be the first to ride the attraction that morning.
The tours are limited to 25 participants each day, and only five tours will be given total. Guests will have until 8:30 p.m. EDT tonight (September 13) to enter. One thing to note is that guests will NOT be able to select which tour they attend if they are chosen to participate.
At Disneyland, the tour will consist of an opportunity to join Disneyland Resort Ambassadors each morning to celebrate the heritage of the prestigious program, as well as Disneyland park attractions and Imagineering innovations, including the integral role the 1964-1965 World’s Fair. The tour will include visits to Main Street, U.S.A., the Opera House, Innoventions, and “it’s a small world.” Guests will get to hear how Walt’s involvement at the World’s Fair inspired technology that still exists in famous attractions that are found in the parks today.
Disneyland participants may register until 5:30 p.m. PDT tonight (September 13) for the chance to attend one of the five tours. Like the Walt Disney World version, there will be 25 participants per tour. The tour will last one hour. Guests will NOT get to choose which day they participate in the tour if selected.
For both tours, valid ID will be required at check-in, and each participant must be a US resident and at least 18 years old. Park admission will be provided, and no guests will be allowed.
For more information or to sign up for either tour, please visit the Disney Parks Blog.
For those who choose to try to sign up for these tours, best of luck to you!
I just looked at the Disney LTM site and they have the tour being for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Are you correct? Are they correct? Did they add another tour?
So…here’s what I think happened. So, I think the real event is the TOT one, cause I saw someone today actually went on that one. However I think they posted the wrong one on the DPB. Cause everything I saw was the TOT meet. I just thought it was a situation where they changed to the GMR version.
I am so jealous! The Great Movie Ride is one of my favorite attractions in all of WDW. I just left WDW on Tuesday.
They are aready closed. Ltm? Geez heavy on the limited.
This is so cool!…
…for the exactly 125 guests (out of tens of thousands) who stumbled across this unique opportuity, are able to adjust their plans and ADRs and other reservations they likely made 180 days ago, and through sheer dumb luck get through and score one of the tours. 🙁
I am such a Disney fan and defender but really, this entire LTM just gets worse instead of better. I can only hope this somehow clears the closet of all the awful ideas and next year DisneyParks gets back to a theme we guests can really get excited about.
