Luminous Dining Packages Arrive at EPCOT’s Restaurants

Two restaurants at EPCOT currently offer Fireworks Dining Packages, giving you a meal and a lakefront seat for the show. Both Rose & Crown and Spice Road Table have announced that beginning December 5, guests will see the brand new fireworks spectacular Luminous: the Symphony of Us instead of the outgoing EPCOT Forever show. We’ve got details of the packages below, and some advice on the finances compared to just booking the dinner. If you’ve already booked a trip with a TouringPlans Travel Destination Specialist, you can contact them to see about making reservations for a Fireworks Dining Package.

Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package Details

Dining packages include a prix fixe menu with a choice of one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert, as well as a selection of unlimited beverages.

Pricing:

  • Adult: $89 per person (ages 10 and up), inclusive of tax and gratuity
  • Child: $39 per child (ages 3 to 9), inclusive of tax and gratuity

Disney Dining Plan entitlements can’t be redeemed for Fireworks Dining Packages. Separately purchased theme park admission is required, and park reservations if your admission media require them. Reservations may be canceled up to 48 hours in advance. Dining package reservations cannot be modified once the reservation is confirmed.

Are Fireworks Dining Packages a Good Value?

I’m sure you won’t be surprised to see me write that I can’t tell you about any non-monetary considerations. But, we can certainly give you an estimate of how much more you’ll pay per person for your seat at the show. You can decide from there whether it’s a good deal for you.

At the Rose & Crown Pub, the average cost for an appetizer, entree, dessert, and fountain beverage is about $50 for an adult meal. The kids’ meal, which comes with a small milk, water, or juice, is $15. So, that’s about $39 per adult and $20-25 per kid that’s just going for the fireworks.

At Spice Road Table, the average cost for 2 small plates, a tagine, and a dessert platter is about $52; there’s no kids menu. But since the tagine and the dessert platter are shared around the table, the actual value per person is less, and there’s no reason to assume that it’s a steal just because you have kids. The average price for the non-shared portion – the two small plates – is an average of about $24. So again, you’ll be paying in the range of $40 per person (this estimate is blurrier for obvious reasons) for the fireworks part of the package.

You are not guaranteed unobstructed seating, and it’s expected that Luminous will offer reasonable viewing angles from all around the World Showcase. Given that, it’s difficult to recommend a Fireworks Dining Package based on price. The Disney Dining Plan can’t be used for the Fireworks package, so those on the plan may be left with a choice between doing more than one Table Service per day or downgrading a credit to a Quick Service meal.
