Modified Character Meets, Live Entertainment & More Returning to Walt Disney World This Fall!

Big news! There will soon be a lot more entertainment offerings returning to the Walt Disney World Resort this fall! Matter fact, a few have actually already returned!

On October 1, the morning welcome show, “Let the Magic Begin” that takes place on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage returned. In addition, the ragtime piano player at Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A. has also returned. Moving over to EPCOT, a number of World Showcase performers have come back! Alberta Bound can be found in the Canada Pavilion, Sergio is in the Italy Pavilion, and the Taiko drummers of Matsuriza are playing once again in the Japan Pavilion.

A nighttime show will also be returning! Beginning on November 7, Guests will once again be able to see “Disney Movie Magic” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The show celebrates Disney’s live-action film legacy, and when this projection show resumes, it will feature a new sequence from the live action version of “Mulan.” Also returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be the “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.” The action packed show returns on December 19.

But that’s not all! Live entertainment will also be returning for Disney’s Animal Kingdom! In Asia, Guests will once again be able to enjoy the music of Chakranadi, and Kora Tinga Tinga returns to the streets of Harambe in Africa. Guests will also be able to see the Tam Tam Drummers once again in Africa in early November.

Moving over to the resorts, performers will also soon be strolling along the waterfront at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, and yes, Yehaa Bob will be back beginning October 14 in the River Roost Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

We’ve all been missing the characters though, right? Getting the chance to see Mickey and friends has definitely been something people have been clamoring for the opportunity to do, once again. And soon, you’ll be able to! However, things will still be distanced. Guests won’t be able to give a hug or get an autograph, but you will be able to have individualized time with some of your favorite characters and get to take some photos.

Guests will be able to see Disney Princesses in Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll soon find Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams and the stars of Disney Junior in Animation Courtyard. Finally Mickey Mouse will once again be backstage at Town Square Theater on Main Street, U.S.A., where he’ll be sporting his all-new EARidescent look designed just for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration! These characters will be welcoming guests in November.

It’s so exciting to see that so much live entertainment will be coming back soon! We’ll share more entertainment updates here on the blog, so stay tuned!

I’m really happy to hear live entertainment is back at AK. I never thought we’d see Chakranadi again. Totally worth the time to watch him for 20 minutes or so.
Also, I’m one of the people always (reluctantly) pulled from the crowd for the Tam Tam shows. It helps if I had a Dole Whip w/rum first.

Very happy that by the time we are there we will be able to have individualised albeit distanced photos with the characters. Doesn’t matter that we can’t do hugs or get autographs – I’m not ready to do hugs with people just yet anyway. Never seen Yehaa Bob but intend going over to see him this time we are at WDW. Getting excited now – I just hope our flights don’t get cancelled again from the UK – fingers crossed.
