Photos: Frontierland Troupe Brings Rare Characters to Disneyland Weekends Until May
Disney has brought back some rare characters for meet and greets in the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree area of Disneyland. The area is set up similar to the Long Lost Friends promotion from last April, but this time they appear as the Frontierland Troupe. Six groups of characters from classic Disney movies are brought out three at a time and then rotated every 20 minutes. Frontierland Troupe will run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until May.
List of Frontierland Troupe characters:
Robin Hood and Friar Tuck (Robin Hood)
Anastasia, Drizella, and Lady Tremaine (Cinderella)
Mary and Perla (Cinderella)
Honest John and Gideon (Pinocchio)
Pinocchio and Gepetto (Pinocchio)
Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow

Gideon. Honest John was also there, but he was too busy flirting with the girls that were in line ahead of me.
A piano player entertains the crowds as they wait to meet the characters.
This gentleman does rope tricks with help from guests in the crowd.
Farley welcomes you to Big Thunder Ranch.
This giant horse leads the parade of characters when they switch out every 20 minutes.
How challenging is it to wait around and get the character you’re aiming for? Long lines would make it roulette more or less
Most people just wait in line and then let people go in front of them if the character they want to meet is not out at that time.
Okay, the rope tricks, cool, the piano player, great, the characters, NO, these are FANTASY LAND CHARACTERS! Come on, who’s running this confused campaign?? Move them next door where they belong!
This is a fun and unexpected addition for our trip. It doesn’t really make up for all the closed E tickets (and a B), but it will be nice for the youngest kids.
You mislabeled Suzy as Mary.
Thanks, I knew I would get at least one of the characters wrong haha
