PHOTOS: One Bedroom Villa at Boulder Ridge, Wilderness Lodge
Walt Disney World’s Wilderness Lodge is home to two different pockets of Disney Vacation Club villas. The Boulder Ridge villas are located in a separate building, a short walk from the main Lodge, whereas the Copper Creek Villas are primarily located in the main building and in some standalone cabins. Guests of both types of villas have full access to all the amenities of the resort.
The Wilderness Lodge has some of my favorite theming in all of Walt Disney World. Even when it’s a billion degrees out in the Florida sun, the Lodge feels like you’re vacationing at a northern woodland mountain retreat.
Here’s a tour of what you can expect from a one-bedroom villa at Boulder Ridge. These photos are from a unit on the 5th floor. This room has two small balconies that overlook the villas pool and the lake.
One-bedroom units at Boulder Ridge sleep up to four guests, plus a child under age three sleeping in a crib.
Bedroom
The bedroom includes a king-sized bed, television, easy chair, nightstands, and a small bench.
Bathroom
The bathroom is subdivided into three sections: a whirlpool tub and sink that’s separated from the bedroom by a sliding window that allows you to watch the bedroom TV from the tub, a shower and sink room, and a room with just the toilet. The shower and toilet areas are accessible from the living room without entering the bedroom.
Living Room
The living room area has a pull-out couch, a trunk-like coffee table (on wheels for easy movability), an easy chair, a counter with two wooden chairs, and a table with two wooden chairs.
Kitchen
One-bedroom villas have full kitchens, complete with a refrigerator, oven and cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and related dishes and cookware. A nearby space holds a full-size washer/dryer.
Closets
One-bedroom villas have two large closets, which include a safe, a Pack n’ Play crib, high chair, laundry basket, vacuum, iron and ironing board, and extra linens for the fold-out couch.
