TouringPlans meet-up Saturday 4 PM at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – with refreshments!
Please join us at 4 PM on Saturday, October 10 at the Center Stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ll be celebrating the last performance of Mulch, Sweat & Shears – the Studios’ house band for the past 11 years.
We’ll provide refreshments. Center Stage is the stage in front of the Great Movie Ride, in the middle of the park.
If you’re up for it, we ask that you scream as loud as possible for the first 30 seconds of Mulch’s first song. Scream like a UFO just dropped Jimi Hendrix and Elvis together in the middle of the stage, with a note that says “oops!” You’ll know you’ve succeeded when you can’t actually hear the band.
The last show should start at 4:30 PM and finish by 5 PM. We’ll be in the area around the stage, wearing red TouringPlans shirts for easy identification. The offer of refreshments is open to everyone – TouringPlans subscribers and not.
We’ll use @touringplans to announce any last-minute schedule or location changes.
Great meet up. Truly wonderful last mulch sweat and shears performance… Thanks for the snacks, and refreshing malt beverages.
Thanks for coming, Ron! It was a great last show!
Moving some things around to hopefully make this happen!
Same again, cannot be there but will raise a glass in fellowship at the appointed hour.
Regards to you all.
Any chance there will be a Periscope broadcast by TouringPlans on Saturday?
Yes, we’ll Periscope it. Should be a hoot.
You rock, Len!
Live on Periscope daily – the final shows https://www.periscope.tv/loslawnboys
11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 3:30, 4:30 daily till October 10th
Wish we could be there. Our son is in first year of college and we can’t break away for our normal fall trip. We loved their sound and will miss them. They will be especially missed with so much closed at DHS.
I will be there in spirit, Len! They are such a fun and incredibly talented! I remember seeing them during Reunion 2013 (?). Len was playing percussion and I captured some great video him with the band
Go ahead and scream. Better safe than sorry. 🙂
Clarification question – if we are stuck at work in an office several states away, should we still scream as loud as possible at 4:30? Or can we get by with a quiet, but vigorous, golf clap?
