Update: The View From Every Disney World Resort Room – Riverside, French Quarter, and Pop Century

At the beginning of October we launched Hotel Room Views, showing the view you’ll get at every Disney World hotel room. (Read the original blog post here.)

Over the past 24 hours we’ve added photos from every room at Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Pop Century Resort. These join the All-Star Sports, Saratoga Springs, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, and All-Star Movies resorts already done. We should have Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs and Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House done this week too.

This is a huge project. Besides taking more than 30,000 photos, you can search for rooms by the room’s cost on any date through 2014, the type of beds in the room, handicap accessibility information, how noisy it is, walking distance to the lobby, food and bus, and more. There are probably some typos in the data – I know of some Alligator Bayou rooms in Riverside that need adjusting, for example. Drop us a line if you see anything odd.

Here’s the roll-out schedule for the remaining resorts:

  • Love the room finder tool! But I can’t find any connecting rooms for POR; is that info not loaded yet? or perhaps the number of connecting rooms in the resort is quite low? We have booked a separate room for my teens so we really need connecting rooms & I would love to know where they might be located.

    • Thanks Mary! We’re working on connecting room information and should have it up in a few weeks.

  • I am trying to look at Riverview/Royal rooms. But the tool gives me all Riverview rooms. I know the Royal rooms are only in Oak and Parterre. So it’s pretty easy for me to narrow down the results. But I thought I’d give you a heads-up anyway.

  • I apologize for commenting on an old thread, but I’m looking for the room views at Boardwalk Inn. Where can I find them?

    • Hey Katie – we should have the remaining resorts online by the end of the month. Sorry for the delay!

  • What about Boardwalk Villas? We just booked there for June & I’d love to see the views – especially since we got a Boardwalk view. It appears you are doing Beach Club separately…

    • Oops! It would help if I read all the comments… Sorry! Thank you!!

  • I think this feature of your website is fantastic. Even if you don’t get the room you are specifically looking for, it really helps get a feel for the environment of the hotels if you haven’t visited before so you can make the hotel choice easier.

Will you be linking to this list from your menu any time soon? It would be nice not to have to scroll through pages of the blog to see when the latest post for a new hotel is listed.

    Thanks!

  • Will Boardwalk villas be completed at the same time as Boardwalk Inn?

    Reply
    • Yes – we’re running about a week behind due to issues with Coronado Springs and AS-Music, but we’ll do Boardwalk Villas with the Inn.

  • Is there a link to the Jambo Animal Kingdom Lodge room by the view I don’t see a link on the AKL page.

  • I know it hasn’t been announced yet, but I was able to look up rooms at Art of Animation. But all the data doesn’t seem to be there. (maybe that’s why it hasn’t been announced…)For instance, there aren’t lobby distances posted, only trans. Plus some of the appx. views seem off to me. Just curious, if and when this will be fully rolled out for AofA.

    • Holly-you’re right. We’re looking at it now. Give us a day or so.

      • Thanks! I just love this way to check out the resorts. Such a great idea 🙂

  • Love this tool! I have checked out rooms I have stayed in on past trips and the view you have is accurate so far. Would love to have a tutorial on what all the numbers mean. For instance, in room quietness rating I’m guessing a lower number is quieter?

  • This look awesome.

Looking through Wilderness Lodge, most of the interior rooms are not select-able. Will these be added going forward?

  • Also, I think that the accessibilty information may not be working correctly for POFQ. I requested a room with a roll in tub and it looks like all of them are selected but none of those same rooms are handicap accessible…

  • I have a reservation at POR in February. When will I know what room I’m in? Is it when you can do an online checkin

    • Jenn, Disney does not give room assignments until you physically check in. This tool, however, will help you in deciding on a room to request. There are no guarantees but it never hurts to ask for what you want. It also can help you decide if a particular room category (garden view, pool view, etc) is what you are looking for. Good luck!

  • Thank you for this helpful information! I am trying to see which rooms also are connecting rooms at Port Orleans Riverside, but I haven’t found that information yet with any of the choices I have selected. Have I just not selected the right rooms or is the “connecting room” status yet to be completed? Thanks again for this wonderful tool!

    • Hi Sara! We’ve not yet implemented the ‘connecting room’ data. Sorry about that! I’ll check on how long it’ll take to complete.

      • Yes, this is a very important item. I am going to Port Orleans Riverside Nov 30th. I was very excited about the room viewer, bit it does me no good. My most important criteria is that the rooms connect.
