What’s Still Closed Right Now at Walt Disney World, September 2, 2021

It’s been a few weeks since we updated our listings. As you know, there’s much activity going on at WDW with attractions, restaurants and hotels busy making preparations for the 50th anniversary celebration. Some are closed for refurbishment and some high-touch activities are closed due to the pandemic. We feel that you almost need a checklist to keep up…so here’s an updated checklist to help you keep up! (Note: things change quickly and often, so check back regularly.)

DISNEY WORLD RESORTS CURRENTLY CLOSED

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort  – scheduled to re-open 9/16
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside: scheduled to re-open 10/14
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter: scheduled to re-open 10/28
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort – scheduled to re-open 12/9

DISNEY WORLD ATTRACTIONS CURRENTLY CLOSED, LISTED BY PARK

(Currently there are no character meet and greets or parades, but character cavalcades are available.)

UP! A Great Bird Adventure Show (currently replaced by Feathered Friends in Flight)

Takumi-Tei (Japan)

Magic Kingdom
Aunt Polly’s on Tom Sawyer Island (this location is often only open seasonally)
The Diamond Horseshoe — reopening September 12

In addition, some resort lounges may be closed or have reduced hours. Check with the hotel concierge desk to verify that day’s operating hours.

The good news: everything else is open and still magical! (And you can bet this list will be obsolete by next week…which is even more good news!)

    Unfortunately, I think Story Book Dining at Artist Point is still closed, too.

    -The Canada circlevision movie is closed due to Food & Wine, that’s not a “lingering pandemic closure” like the majority of the list.

    -Private fireworks cruises returned several months ago, and the fireworks dessert cruise on the ferry returns in a week or so.
