Description And Comments
Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter provides the theme and patrons whirl around feverishly in big teacups. A rendition of this ride, sans Disney characters, can be found at every local carnival and fair.
Touring Tips
- Open for Magic Morning Hour
This ride, aside from not being particularly special, loads slowly. Skip it on a busy schedule if the kids will let you. Ride in the morning of your second day if your schedule is more relaxed. Even during the busiest times of year, the wait will be less than 20 minutes.
Note: rain stops Mad Tea Party flat, and can often be down for a few hours after a good pour.
Special Comments
A warning for parents who have not given this ride much thought: teenagers like nothing better than to lure an adult onto the teacups and then turn the wheel in the middle (which makes the cup spin faster) until the adults are plastered against the side of the cup and are on the verge of throwing up. Unless your life's ambition is to be the test subject in a human centrifuge, do not even consider getting on this ride with anyone younger than 21 years of age.
