Some people enjoy the athleticism of basketball while others admire the grace and skill of soccer, but we at TouringPlans favor bowling as our favorite sport as it is the only one you can participate in while eating Chili Cheese Fries. Galaxy Bowl has several tables to sit at and enjoy a meal, but you can also order snacks and drinks while taking in a game of bowling. When the wait for a lane grows long (as it often does on rainy days) ask for a table, and order drinks and appetizers until your turn arrives.
The limited menu offers fast-food selections similar to items served downstairs in the Bayliner Diner, and quality is about on par for a greasy bowling alley grub. Draft beer is served in pitchers, and the list of specialty drinks is nearly as long as the food menu; The 300, a 32-ounce mega-margarita made with blood orange, probably won't help your score much, but it will numb the embarrassment of those gutter balls. There are two Coke Freestyle machines at Galaxy Bowl for your Sonic Fill mugs.
Setting and Atmosphere
Galaxy Bowl, located on the second floor of the main Cabana Bay building directly above Starbucks, is the only full-service dining option inside the hotel. The 10-lane bowling alley is inspired by the Hollywood Star Lanes bowling alley, made famous in the film The Big Lebowski. The lanes are illuminated in trippy colors at night, and large projection screens broadcast sporting events. Bowling costs $15 for adults, $9 for kids 12 and under. Parties of 1-3 people get 1 hour of lane time; 4-8 people get 90 minutes.
Chicken quesadillas, chicken wings, salads, sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, and pizza.
