Hard Rock Hotel

Entree range

Though we must admit that our expectations weren’t too high for this Hard Rock venture, we were pleasantly surprised with the food and service here. Though expensive, the food is actually quite good and the setting is pretty fun. The 10-ounce Angus beef “Kitchen Burger” will set you back about $18, but the regular version is just as tasty and less expensive. Brave and/or crazy souls can take part in the Kitchen Sink Challenge, which consists of eating The Kitchen burger, a side of fries, a fried pickle, and the humongous Kitchen Sink cake within a 30 minute time limit. Visiting rock stars often perform cooking demonstrations of their favorite dishes at the Chef’s Table, so call ahead to see if any rock stars will be in the kitchen—you may find yourself having dinner with Joan Jett or Bob Seger. If dinner is a little out of your price range but you still want the experience, visit at lunchtime or go for the $19.50 breakfast buffet ($10 for kids), which includes a host of fresh, yummy selections and an omelet station; for $31.50, adults can upgrade to unlimited Bloody Mary's and mimosas, always a smart choice before walking around a hot theme park all day.

Setting and Atmosphere

With the appearance of a spacious kitchen in a rock megastar’s mansion, The Kitchen’s walls are adorned with culinary-themed memorabilia from the Hard Rock Hotel’s many celebrity guests. A colorful “kids' crib” adorned with bean-bag chairs and televisions allows the adults eat in peace.

House Specialties

Breakfast: eggs benedict, spinach and sausage frittata, custom omelets; Lunch: salads, burgers, flatbreads, three-cheese mac and cheese, chicken pot pie; Dinner: seared ahi tuna, crab cakes, shrimp tacos, boneless short ribs. Gluten-free menu is available.

Other Recommendations

Rock stars occasionally visit to cook their specialties; signed aprons and rock memorabilia on the walls. Character dining is offered on Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m., and a magician performs tableside on Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m.
