You likely wouldn’t go to Shutters if you weren’t already staying at the hotel, but the food is fine, the service is friendly, and you don’t need a reservation.
Setting and Atmosphere
In the Old Port Royale section of Caribbean Beach, Shutters is the resort’s table-service restaurant. The sparsely decorated dining room has kind of a neglected feel, but the chef is having fun in the kitchen whipping up Caribbean-inspired dishes.
Barbecue pork brisket, Island Pasta with chorizo and shrimp, grilled rib eye, jerk-rubbed mahimahi.
Chicken wings in habanero–brown sugar glaze, barbecue shrimp and grits, braised beef–pepper jack cheese empanada.
