Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort - Review

Entree range

$18–$35 (child $9–$11)

Like dining at Port Orleans, you likely wouldn’t go to Shutters if you weren’t already staying at the hotel, but the food is fine, the service is friendly, and you don’t need a reservation.

Setting and Atmosphere

In the Old Port Royale section of Caribbean Beach, Shutters is the resort’s table-service restaurant. The sparsely decorated dining room has kind of a neglected feel, but the chef is having fun in the kitchen whipping up Caribbean-inspired dishes.

House Specialties

Pan-seared crab cakes; Florida rock shrimp; Island Pasta with chorizo and shrimp; grilled rib eye; jerk-rubbed mahimahi; pepperberry-rubbed Caribbean pork ribs with smoked Gouda and chorizo mac and cheese.

Other Recommendations

Chicken wings in habanero–brown sugar glaze, Caribbean gumbo, seared scallops with polenta.
