2014’s display at Disney’s Contemporary

Each and every year Disney’s Contemporary Resort features a unique gingerbread display in the Grand Canyon Concourse on the 4th floor. This year’s display will once again be themed around Frozen for the second year in a row. The display is scheduled to debut on November 12.

The display is created by the Contemporary Resort’s Bakery Team out of gingerbread, chocolate, and confections.

Last year’s display was absolutely huge and was created in the style of Mary Blair’s designs for “it’s a small world”. In addition, there were hidden Olafs found throughout the display for Guests to find.

This year’s display also will feature a special shop where you can make a stop to buy wonderful gingerbread and chocolate goodies likely with a Frozen character or two emblazoned on it. This location will also offer sweet treats each day from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. until January 5.

  • Rikki, do you happen to know when the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian will be up?

    • They haven’t announced anything just yet, but last year it opened on November 21. I’ll keep everyone posted when I find out more.
