It’s an exciting time at Universal Orlando Resort. The return of Mardi Gras is practically here. This year the New Orleans-inspired event is changing things up a bit with COVID-19 precautions in mind, and with an international theme. Plus, the Jurassic World VelociCoaster is getting closer and closer to be unleashed. Check out our pictures from this week’s visit.

Ivonne on our team visited this week and noted how low the crowds were. As a result mask compliance was strong and physical distancing was very easy to maintain. Crowds will pick up this week with the launch of this year’s Mardi Gras event.

Low Crowds at Islands of Adventure – February 3, 2021

Some of the faster moving attractions like the Incredible Hulk Coaster are boarding every row, but only one party per row. Slower moving attractions tend to be boarded at every other row.

Over at Islands of Adventure roller coaster fans are waiting for Jurassic World VelociCoaster to be hatched. This coaster looks like an absolute beast. And it adds even more excitement to the already energetic skyline of Islands of Adventure.
