Halloween Time is a fan favorite seasonal event at Disneyland Resort, and with it comes dozens of deliciously spooky snacks, treats, and entrees to try. There’s so many to pick from, you may not even know where to start. In this post we’ll share 7 must try Disneyland Halloween food items to eat while you gaze upon the pumpkins and other festive décor adorning Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

Poison Apple Macaron – Jolly Holiday Bakery – Disneyland – $7.99
This apple-shaped macaron is filled with salted caramel and apple compote. It’s not only delicious, but it’s also one of the best themed food items Disneyland has ever sold. They nailed the look of this thing. I can picture this becoming the subject of thousands of Instagram and Tik Tok posts during this Halloween season. It’s definitely tasty, but the apple compote and caramel make this item a bit of a sugar bomb. I would recommend sharing this one, but remember, the camera always eats first.
Pumpkin Chai Cream Puff – Jolly Holiday Bakery – Disneyland – $6.99
Here we have a pumpkin-shaped cream puff filled with pumpkin chai mousse and white chocolate crunchy pearls. First of all the cream puff itself has the perfect level of fluffiness, and second of all the pumpkin chai mousse filling is to die for. This is one of the few items I plan on getting multiple times during this Halloween season. The only downside is that it’s a bit small for the asking price.
Potato Leek Soup – Royal Street Veranda – Disneyland – $12.49
We’ve talked about Disneyland’s bread bowls many times on this blog. These round and robust balls of glorious carbohydrates have been a staple of Disneyland‘s dining scene for decades now, and new seasonal varieties come and come throughout each year. On the menu for this Halloween is Potato Leek Soup topped with pea flower crème fraiche, herb oil, and fried leeks. This is a great fall flavor that will be perfect for the chilly nights in Disneyland later in the season. We appreciate the little splash of spookiness in the form purple pea flower crème fraiche. Also, when compared to other Disneyland quick service entrees this dish is quite filling and sold at a reasonable cost.
Halloween Macaroon – Jolly Holiday Bakery – Disneyland – $5.99
The Matterhorn Macaroon has come up a ton of times on this blog and is a favorite among many Disneyland visitors. For Halloween 2023 Disneyland has gave this treat a wonderfully appropriate upgrade for the season. The Halloween Macaroon is filled with chocolate chips and topped with milk chocolate instead of white chocolate. The downside is of course the price, which is almost double what they charged for the Matterhorn Macaroon. I assume when the regular Matterhorn Macaroon returns after the Halloween season it’s price will shoot up as well. Either way, this is a fantastic dessert.
Bulgogi Toasted Cheese Sandwich and Corn Cheese Soup – Jolly Holiday Bakery – Disneyland – $14.99
In my opinion the Bulgogi Toasted Cheese Sandwich is the best savory item from this year’s Halloween food lineup. It’s filled with marinated beef, grilled onion, mozzarella and kimchi aïoli on sourdough bread. It’s not anything fancy or inventive, but it’s a hearty meal that will fill you up. The included Corn Cheese Soup is also pretty good.
Chai-spiced Pumpkin Iced Tea – Hungry Bear Restaurant – Disneyland – $6.99
The Chai-spiced Pumpkin Iced Tea gives you that great chai taste with hints of vanilla, which blends perfectly with the pumpkin puree cream. As someone who doesn’t like coffee, I’m so glad they decided to make this with iced tea instead coffee like they usually do with these kind of drinks. This is a great drink full of perfect flavors for fall.
Te Kā Dog – Award Wieners – Disney California Adventure – $15.49
Something shifted in the cosmos a few years ago and all of a sudden DCA’s Award Wieners became one of the best counter service restaurants in either park. Before that the dogs they served were on the same level as the worst neighborhood cookout you’ve ever been to. How in the world was Award Wieners deserving of such a upgrade? I speculate that it was some unknown executive’s favorite restaurant and they demanded revamps be made to increase the quality. Anyway, wow this is a top tier hot dog. It’s topped with sweet & spicy pulled pork with a fiery tropical chutney served on a toasted bun. They are not lying when they say fiery, this thing has some heat! The hot dog itself has a very satisfying snap to it and the bun is lightly buttered and toasted. Also included are Award Wieners’ signature Film Strip Fries, which are king of like curly steak fries. They’re great as usual.

What are your favorite Disneyland Resort Halloween food items? Do you agree or disagree with anything I’ve said here? Let me know in the comments.
I think they finally had to upgrade Award Wieners because it has the best quick service name (and motto) ever (imho)! About time it got food to live up to its fabulously kitschy name :).
I always appreciate the fun finds — there are some restaurants I rarely visit, but you have helped me find some gems!
Awesome! I think you’re right about Award Wieners haha
Thanks for this post. It is overwhelming to look at the list of Halloweentime food so this is so helpful!
