Additional Extra Magic Hours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom This Summer
Heading to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this summer? Looking to get to the park early to visit Pandora – The World of Avatar? Well, now you’re going to have to get to the park just a little earlier!
For a limited time, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be offering almost daily morning Extra Magic Hours from now through June 30. Attractions that are included in the Extra Magic Hours are Avatar – Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey, Expedition Everest, DINOSAUR, and Triceratops Spin. In addition, Kilimanjaro Safaris will be open for Extra Magic Hours on Mondays and Saturdays.
In addition, as a reminder, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also be offering daily morning Extra Magic Hours, plus evening extra hours offered once per week.
Stay tuned to the blog for further information about additional summer extra hours!
Do you have any advice for someone not staying on Disney property when it comes to riding Flight of Passage? I can’t get a fastpass for that and we can’t use the EMH, so what do you think is the best strategy for getting on FoP without an awful wait (or is that just something I’m going to have to deal with?)
Thanks so much!
Come to AK later in the day and get in lime right at closing. The other day i went and the park closed at 9:30, i got in line at 9:25 and the wait posted was 60 and it was about 25-30 mins. This is your best strategy for riding FoP with minimal wait while still seeing the queue line.
Thanks so much! Great to know:)
Is it possible to see Rivers of Light AND sneak into the FoP queue at a late time?
From what I have been reading/researching this seems possible if the stars aligned perfectly but highly doubtful. Prob need to do Navi within an hour of closing to have a chance.
Also look for FoP FP+ slots to open the night before between 9pm-11pm and the morning of between 7am-9am. If your group is less than 4 people – it happens more than you’d think! 😉
I am glad to see they are opening something else to do during extra magic hours. Otherwise they are a waste.
