Story Behind The Upcoming The Princess & The Frog Attraction Revealed

About a year ago, it was announced that Splash Mountain at both the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland would be getting a refurbishment. That update would tell the further story of Princess Tiana. Today, Disney has share a few more details about what we can expect with this new attraction.

As seen in the above concept attraction rendering, the story will take place after the final kiss. Prince Naveen and Louis will join Tiana on her latest adventure. She will be hosting a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras celebration. The attraction will include original music that is inspired by songs from the film. Along the journey with Tiana, Guests will be able to encounter old friends and make new ones along the way.

Disney did not share any details about when either Splash Mountain attraction would be closing, nor was any timeline given on when the new attraction was expected to open.
