Disney Cruise Line in a Jiffy: What is Shutters Photos?
You’ll have no shortage of opportunities to have your picture taken on a Disney cruise. Shutters is Disney Cruise Line’s onboard portrait studio, and you’ll spot their photographers (and have your picture taken by them!) throughout your sailing.
You’ll first meet Disney Cruise Line photographers on your way up the gangplank. After that, you’ll find them at every Meet & Greet. They’ll also come around on a few nights to take your picture at dinner. You’re never required to have your picture taken, but at these moments it might be easier to smile and say cheese.

If you’d like to take some pictures just to have some pictures, you have a couple of options. You can stop by the photo studio to arrange a session. Or, you can check the Navigator App. You’ll find a variety of activities such as
- Photo Moment with Tiana’s Flower
- Photo Moment with Disney Cruise Line Float Ring
- Portraits with Scenic Backdrops
and the like. These are opportunities to get your picture taken with a fun decorative feature of the ship, or an atmospheric photo background.

You’ll scan your Key to the World Card or your DisneyBand (MagicBand) every time you have your picture taken. At any point throughout your cruise, you can stop by the digital viewers to see all the pictures from your cruise. And, you can purchase them as either prints or digital downloads.
