Top 14 Best Disneyland 70th Anniversary Merch Items

It wouldn’t be a proper Disneyland event without boatloads of merchandise. Disneyland is currently in a year long celebration of the park’s 70th birthday. Everything from shirts, statues, pens, pins, hats, jackets, ornaments, trinkets, and everything in between has had the Disneyland 70 logo slapped on it for the masses to consume. In today’s post we’ll sift through it all and highlight our top 14 favorite items from the Disneyland 70th anniversary collection.

#1: This fun retro sticker set comes from the Disneyland Vault Collection, which is a series of items with retro designs and recreations of actual vintage Disneyland items from the past. The stickers features art that evoke colorful vintage Disneyland advertising materials from the 50s and 60s.

Here’s a look at the six stickers in the pack, which is priced at $19.99. These are decently-sized stickers and printed on good quality semi-glossy paper.

#2: My grandma always used to say, “The only thing better than one puzzle, is four.” Okay, dear ol’ Grandma Selga never said that, but I do like the designs on these four puzzles. Each one is around 20 inches and the cost for the set is $39.99.#3: I call this one, the tasteful tan jacket. There’s no obnoxiously large logos or oddly long sentences talking about dreams and magic. It’s a nice and simple tan jacket with a Disneyland D on the front and…

A nice Disneyland logo along with a small castle on the back. The cost is a reasonable $79.99.

#4: We’re lumping three items into this one, which I’ll just call “fun old hats.” First off we have the propeller hat for $24.99 with Mickey and the Disneyland 70 logo on the front. This is similar to Disneyland propeller hats that were sold for decades in Disneyland. The blue visor is a recreation of the same visor the park sold in the 80s. The downside is that it costs a steep $29.99.

The propeller hat is technically a kids hat but it does fit my very large head.

Another fun old hat is this white one with the Disneyland logo and 80s castle design. This is another recreation of a similar hat the park sold in the 80s.

#5: I don’t know if it’s like this in other parts of the country, but baseball jerseys are enormously popular in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Whether it be a Dodgers jersey, Boba Fett, Pizza Planet, or one many others. Disneyland frequently capitalizes on this trend so it’s not surprising at all that they made a special one for Disneyland 70. Here’s a look at the back of the baseball jersey. From what I see in the parks, this is easily one of the most popular Disneyland 70 items. The cost is $74.99.

#6: The Disneyland Vault Collection stationary set is $19.99 and includes notepads and sticky notes, all with a great retro-inspired design. You also get a notepad recreation of Disneyland’s famous ticket book. This item is popular and frequently sells out.

#7: Floaty pens were huge when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s, and I couldn’t believe when they started to disappear in recent years. Thankfully the Disneyland Vault Collection brought us a new floaty pen set.

You get three pens for the hefty price of $22.99.

#8: Look at how great this postcard book is. For $19.99 you get a collection of 12 reprints of some fantastic vintage Disneyland postcards. This is also a nice way to get some cheap art since they can easily be framed.

#9: I’m a big ol’ Star Wars nerd so I enjoyed this silly yet festive rendition of R2-D2, which has been dubbed R2-DL70. The $119.99 scare some people off, but at least it’s large and remote controlled. It’s the same style R2 droid sold in Droid Depot in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

#10: Okay, last Disneyland Vault Collection item from the last. Here we have another reprint of a piece of merchandise sold in the 80s. It’s a plain, no frills yellow sweatshirt. $69.99 is a lot, but the materials feel more substantial compared to regular Disneyland sweatshirts. I’m a huge sucker for banana yellow clothing and 80s Disneyland merch in general, so this one is my favorite of all Disneyland 70 merch items.

#11: I had to include the sparkly Red Car Trolley Disneyland 70 ears because this item is very popular with Disneyland visitors.  They can be yours for $39.99.

#12: I wanted to include one affordable item on this list, and the Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride auto magnet fits that perfectly. For only $9.99 you can grab this magnet for your car or fridge.

#13: Funko Pops seems to finally be waning in popularity, and while I’m not a big Pop fan myself, I can appreciate a good recreation of a Disneyland ride vehicle. $49.99 gets you not only a good rendition of Disneyland’s famous fire engine, but also a Walt Disney and Mickey figures as well.

#14: Closing out this list with the “it’s a small world” clock for $89.99. This is a recreation of the rides current entrance structure, which was built a few years ago.

What’s your favorite item on the list? Did I leave anything off that you picked up and enjoyed? Let me know in the comments.
