Big Changes for Disney’s Coronado Springs and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resorts
There are some thrilling new changes that are on the horizons for two of Walt Disney World’s moderate category resorts.
The first is an expansion of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, which will be getting a new 15-story tower adding 500 rooms to the resort. The tower, which will overlook Lago Dorado, the resort’s lake, will include suites and concierge level services. Oh and there will be unique rooftop dining added to this new tower with a great view of some of the theme park’s fireworks spectaculars. Of course, Coronado Springs’ current rooms will be getting a refurbishment. Oh and the landscape of the resort will gain floating gardens and an island oasis that will connect the resorts through a series of bridges.
Here is a look at what to expect with the new work at Disney’s Coronado Springs.
In addition, over at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, the current marketplace, Centertown, will be reimagined as well. It will include new waterfront dining, as well as shopping areas. It will be found in a centralized location that will offer Guests more convenience to visit the resorts amenities and dining.

Sounds like WDW is breaking the mold, in that CSR will now include both deluxe and moderate-class rooms.
Too bad about losing Cabanas 9B – it was easily my favorite location in the resort. But now 9A will be close to the central point, so maybe it will have the same advantages that 9B used to.
This article reads as an almost word for word lift from the Orlando sentinel. You guys are better than that! I know its hard to reword short facts but this is a bit close..

Both articles do read almost word-for-word. I’m guessing that’s because both articles drew heavily from a Disney press release, without any significant changes.
