Disney Confirms Epcot’s Space Restaurant’s Location
Are you excited about Epcot’s upcoming space-themed restaurant that was announced at last year’s D23 Expo? When announced, Disney mentioned that this new table service dining establishment would be built adjacent to Mission: SPACE in Future World, but didn’t give an actual confirmation of its location. Until today.
The unnamed space restaurant will be located between Mission: SPACE and Test Track. Rumors had been swirling about its potential location from the beginning, with them recently ramping up it wondering was tied to the work being done over at the former Wonders of Life Pavilion that’s currently taking place.
As a reminder, the new restaurant will be operated by the Patina Restaurant Group which operates several other restaurants at Walt Disney World including Tutto Italia and Via Napoli at Epcot and Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs.
It’s still unknown as to when this new restaurant will open. Stay tuned to the blog for further information about the upcoming space restaurant.
Shame it’s being run by them. 2 of the 3 you named seem to be among the worst Disney restaurants for allergy choices as far as I have seen on reviews, never tried them for that reason.
I was also disappointed by who is running it. Tutto Italia was so unDisney like in service that we decided never to go back. I am dying to try the Space themed restaurant, but am concerned about how things will work there.
Pumped that this is being run by the Patina group. Those guys know what hey are doing and I love all of their other places!
I’m excited for this new space restaurant to come between Mission: SPACE and Test Track. I’m also relieved that it’s not going into the Wonders of Life Pavilion. My guess is Disney will announce what’s happening to the Wonders of Life at D23 in 2019. This new space restaurant sounds like it will be amazing!
Wonders of Life is scheduled to be back in action as the Food & Wine festival center in just a few months, so don’t hold your breath for an announcement.
S T O K E D for this. I love high-concept restaurants in the parks–they’re like attractions unto themselves, even if the food ends up being pretty standard–and it’s about time Future World East got one.
Also glad to hear that it’s a separate project from whatever they’re going to do with the WoL dome. More things! More I say!
