Hi everyone!

Let’s take the monorail to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Today, I’ll be covering the resort’s theme, rooms, room views and transportation.

Enjoy!

  • Always wanted to stay at the Contemporary, but haven’t managed it yet. Time to save my pennies.

    • Len,

It’s on my list too Len. I would love to stay in the main building. I’ve stayed at Bay Lake Tower and it was incredible. Great theme park view!

  • Some people hate the Contemporary for it’s lack of “themeing”… but in doing so, they omit the #1 reason why so many families go to Disney World in the first place. It’s proximity to the Magic Kingdom – and the ability to walk there – makes it a no-brainer suggestion for families. No waiting for a bus; no waiting for a monorail (unless you want to).

If you have kids that will want to spend a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom and you are willing to pay for deluxe accommodations, then the Contemporary is a no-brainer.

    • Mike,

I completely agree! I love that you can go through security inside the resort before hopping the monorail. Makes things so much easier once you arrive at Magic Kingdom.
