If you’re a night owl, you may be wondering what there is to do in the evening at Walt Disney World. I’ll be honest, Disney World isn’t a place where you’ll be partying until the break of dawn, but there are activities happening in the evenings, most of which will keep you in shape to be ready for rope drop in the morning. Here’s what you can expect for evening activities at Walt Disney World.

Note: If something is performed outdoors, assume there is a possibility of cancellation in adverse weather. Many items below require reservations and/or an additional fee to participate.

Dining
  • Disney Springs is open most evenings until 11:00 p.m. for shopping and dining.
  • Many bars in the Disney resort hotels are open until midnight.

Fireworks and Shows in the Sky
  • Happily Ever After is a classic fireworks presentation at Magic Kingdom, performed most nights. The fireworks are synchronized with soaring music and colorful projections on the castle. The castle projections are visible within the Magic Kingdom theme park, but the fireworks can be seen from outdoor areas at all the nearby hotels and beyond. If you want to add some food and drink to the experience (and guarantee yourself a seat) consider adding a Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party.
  • Disney Dreams that Soar is a nighttime drone show that appears twice each night above Disney Springs. This is currently scheduled to end in September 2024, but fingers crossed that Disney extends this exciting event.
  • Fantasmic at Disney Hollywood Studios is presented most nights. This multimedia extravaganza features fireworks, water features, colorful lights, lasers, film projections, loads of Disney characters, and a 40-foot-tall dragon.
  • Luminous The Symphony of Us is EPCOT’s new nighttime show. Fireworks, water fountains, lights, and lasers are synchronized to original music and Disney film classic songs. The entire show is visible in the World Showcase area of EPCOT. The fireworks can be seen from outdoor areas at all the nearby hotels and beyond.
  • Wonderful World of Animation at Hollywood Studios is a film and light projection show that takes place in front of the Chinese Theater (home to the Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad attraction). This is a good evening alternative at DHS if you want a quick cap on your evening without committing to the more lengthy Fantasmic.
