News Bites 9/4/12

A few little bits of news have been trickling out about some new things coming to the Magic Kingdom the past couple of days that I thought you all should be aware of.

First of all, for those of you who enjoy meeting the Tinker Bell characters at Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook in Adventureland, a new character will be debuting on September 9. Periwinkle, Tinker Bell’s sister, from the Disney Fairies movie Secret of the Wings, will be meeting guests, along with Tink, in a new winter wonderland themed setting.

In addition, for those of you who are heading to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this year, a small, new addition will be taking place. The Not So Scary Street Jam will take place on Main Street USA, right after the Headless Horseman appears for his ride, but before Mickey’s Boo To You Parade. The street party will teach guests a dance routine to the song Calling All the Monsters by Disney Channel star China Anne McClain. If, by chance, you want to learn the routine beforehand so you’ll be ready on the night of the party, check out the video on the Disney Parks Blog. The parties start next Tuesday, September 11, and take place select nights throughout September, October, and even November.
