Rivers of Light Dessert Party Introduced at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

You know, just a few days ago I was doing some thinking. I thought, Epcot has the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party, and the Magic Kingdom has a ton of dessert parties for Happily Ever After, but Rivers of Light doesn’t have a dessert party. Looks like I was psychic because today, it was announced that there will indeed be a Rivers of Light Dessert Party introduced at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The dessert party will include a buffet of tantalizing treats that are themed around Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There will also be specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, iced tea, lemonade and water. Once you’ve stuffed yourself with yumminess, you’ll then be escort you to a reserved seating area where you can enjoy exceptional views of this captivating nighttime display that celebrates nature by utilizing water, fire, and light.

Guests participating in this event will be able to check in 60 minutes prior to the main show at the Rivers of Light Asia Viewing Area Terrace located across from Expedition Everest. (You should check the schedule to make sure of what the main showtime is, because it can fluctuate depending on the time of the year.)

The event kicks off on August 6 and for the time being, will take place on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The cost is $79 for adults and $47 for children (tax inclusive) and must be paid for in full at the time of booking. Advance Dining Reservations are recommended and can be made here.
