Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to Feature Oga’s Cantina

Detail about what to expect with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge have been a little scant lately. Sure, we know that we’re getting an attraction themed around the Millennium Falcon, an attraction based on a battle with the First Order, a few shops, a few of the smaller details, and – of course – restaurants like a cantina. I mean, it isn’t Star Wars without a cantina, right? Well, today we officially know the name of the cantina in Black Spire Outpost: Oga’s Cantina.

Here, visitors will be able to enter a smuggler’s safe-haven. The space will be run by an intriguing alien proprietor, Oga Garra, and the cantina will adhere to a strict code of conduct that tries to keep its unruly patrons in check. You’ll never know when a stormtrooper or another familiar face will show up.

Guests will be able to enjoy famous concoctions created with exotic ingredients using “otherworldly” methods and served in unique vessels. (Who wants blue milk in a souvenir cup?!)

Previously announced was the news that musical entertainment will be provided courtesy of the cantina’s DJ, RX-24 (we know him as Rex), the former StarSpeeder 3000 pilot droid we first met in Star Tours.

This space will be a place where you’ll want to hang out, listen to unique music, taste the best drinks, and surround yourself with a colorful cast of characters.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in summer 2019 at Disneyland and in late fall 2019 at Walt Disney World.

  • Oga’s Cantina, Oga’s Cantina, Oga’s Cantina????????????????????????????
    I want Mos Eisley, don’t give a ……. about Oga’s Cantina

    • Sadly, it’s not even the name of the bartender played by Bea Arthur in the “Star Was Holiday Special”.

C’mon, Disney, make that show an official part of the canon!

    • No way! It’s hot enough in Florida in the summer! Don’t need a Tatooine desert to make it worse!
