New Castaway Club Online Functions
I have often spent breakfast on the last day of a Disney Cruise frantically taking screenshots of my Folio in the Navigator because I forgot to ask for a printed copy at Guest Services the night before. No more! This week, two new functions were added to the Disney Cruise Line website. Logged in users can now view (and download) their Folio for up to 90 days after a cruise is completed. And for new cruisers, you’ll be able to link your Castaway Club ID to your Disney Account post-cruise as well.
Disneyland Fall Festivities
Halloween Time returns to the Disneyland Resort from September 1 to October 31, 2023. This fantastic fall celebration features special attraction overlays, character meets, entertainment, and I hope you’re not surprised to hear that there will be Halloween-themed decorations!
Guests can look forward to:
- Haunted attraction overlays, including Haunted Mansion Holiday, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark
- Each night, “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular will treat guests to supernatural projection, special effects, music, and on some nights even fireworks
- Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit Scavenger Hunt
- Special culinary treats, merchandise, and photo opportunities throughout the parks
Additionally, the parks will honor the cultural traditions of Día de los Muertos between September 1 and November 2. The Plaza de la Familia experience will bring marigolds, crafts, and Mexican-inspired food to Paradise Gardens. Several times a day, “A Musical Celebration of Coco” will present a talented company of Folklórico dancers, plus Mariachi singers and musicians, retelling the story of Coco. Even more Day of the Dead displays and decorations will be found in Cars Land and Frontierland.
Pride Month Kicks Off at Disney and Universal Parks
June is Pride Month across the USA, and a rainbow celebration has kicked off at Disney and Universal Orlando theme parks. Both Disney and Universal are celebrating with pride-themed merch and special food, limited-time decor. At Disney World you can memorialize your visit with special Magic Shots offered by PhotoPass photographers, or a stop in front of one of the pride-themed mural backdrops. And at Disneyland, both nights of the first-ever Pride Nite Disneyland After Dark event are already sold out.
Disney Private Jet Adventure
Here at TouringPlans we have Ultimate plans that aim to let you experience every attraction in a single park in one day. If that feels like it’s not enough challenge for you, and you also happen to have $115K stashed away somewhere, you might be interested in the Disney Parks Around the World tour offered through Adventures by Disney. In just 24 days you’ll visit all 12 Disney Parks as well as the Taj Mahal, Pyramids of Giza, and the Eiffel Tower*.
*Unlike the one in Soarin’, the Eiffel Tower that you visit will not be leaning. If you want a Leaning Tower you’ll need to check out Pisa, which is not on this tour.
OK, I jest, because we all know that this is well beyond most of our means. Nonetheless, the single date offered sold out last year, so don’t sit on it if you’re interested. If you’re ready to cross this item off your bucket list, reach out to the folks at TouringPlans Travel and make someone’s day. Booking opens as follows:
- June 12: Previous Adventures by Disney Guests who have traveled on 3 or more Adventures
- June 14: All Previous Adventures by Disney Guests
- June 16: Golden Oak Members
- June 19: General Public
