Water Bottle Refill Stations at Hollywood Studios
Bottled water at Disney is expensive. And although you can stop by any quick-service location that has fountain drinks and get a cup of ice water for free, these cups are often small, and they don’t come with lids. Carrying a personal water bottle is often more convenient and better for the environment as an added bonus.
Ask anyone who has tried to fill a water bottle at a conventional water fountain, and there’s two types of water fountains — one with enough pressure that you’re able to fill the water bottle with little mess, and those with so little water pressure that you’re struggling to find just the right angle to fill a water bottle up to maybe halfway. You never know which kind you will find until you’re there.
New water fountains now often come with both the drinking fountain and a water bottle filler. In Hollywood Studios, you’ll find these in Galaxy’s Edge near the restrooms and outside of the exit for Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run.

Personally, I’d love to see older water fountains replaced throughout the parks with these dual-purpose options.
What do you think? Do you bring your own refillable water bottle to the parks?
This is great. As long as the water goes through a filter to get rid of that Florida taste. But it’s a step in the right direction.
I love the idea that it saves money and the environment! My questions would be, how often are they sanitizing the stations and do we know if it’s filtered?
Same question as everyone else – is this water filtered enough to not taste of Florida?
These bottle fill stations have become more common over the years, and I’m all for it.
Please do a report from UOR on what’s available for water.
Double checked with our field team, and yes the water is filtered so it doesn’t have that “Florida water” taste.
Awesome! Thank you so much for the follow up!
We always use camelbak style backpacks when themeparking. Fill it to the top with ice and water in the morning and it helps cool our backs. We always know how low we are on water intake and by the end of the day the bags empty letting us know we did a good job (or if it’s still sloshy, a not good job) by lifting any weight from our shoulders.
Having the bottle refill stations around and knowing they don’t taste like…. Florida…. puts my mind at ease about either paring down to a much smaller bladder and just refilling it once in park, or finding a better in park bottle solution.
Are all the stations marked on maps by chance, or a list that Disney maintains? I know there’s supposed to be another refill station in MK somewhere. But I’m not sure where they are at EPCOT and AK.
We also use camelbaks- if we have access to a freezer, we fill the bladders about 1/4 full and lay them flat in the freezer the night before. Fill the rest of the way the next morning and the water stays cold all day. Plus the backpack is cool against your back!
I love that Disney is doing something to help out those of us that avoid disposable water bottles!
I like how you mentioned that it is better for the environment to carry a personal water bottle. My uncle mentioned to me last night that he and his friend are planning to have mobile water stations for their business event and asked me if I have any idea what is the best option to do. Thanks to this informative article and I’ll be sure to tell him that they can consult a well-known event water station services as they can answer all his inquiries.
