Selections
A huge, one-third-pound chili cheeseburger topped with a fried onion ring (skip the chili; it's pasty and bland), a fried green tomato sandwich with a side of jicama coleslaw (some of the best greens in the park), and a fried chicken sandwich with honey mustard. Healthier choices include a turkey and provolone sandwich on a multigrain roll and Big Al's smoked chicken salad with lettuce, watermelon, candied pecans, dried cherries, and pickled red onions with a sweet-tart honey-lime vinaigrette. Kids can feast on healthier meals with string cheese, nonfat yogurt, sliced apples, and whole-grain fish crackers.
Comments
The sweet potato fries are really tasty. Popular and crowded during busier times of the year. During slower times, grab a snack and sit on the deck overlooking the Rivers of America. We highly recommend the heirloom tomato sandwich (with Havarti and remoulade on hearty whole grain) to ovo-lacto vegetarians and carnivores alike. The lemon cupcakes and blueberry pie desserts are also really good.
