Setting and Atmosphere
Situated along Bay Lake and held in a covered
pavilion next to the now-closed River Country swimming park, Mickey's Backyard BBQ features Mickey, Minnie, Chip 'n' Dale, and Goofy, along with a live country band and line dancing. Though the pavilion gets some
breeze off Bay Lake, we recommend going during the spring or fall, if possible.
The food is pretty good, as is, fortunately, the insect control.
Seating is at picnic tables.

Baked chicken, barbecued pork ribs, burgers, hot dogs, corn, beans, mac and cheese, salads and slaw, bread and watermelon and ice-cream bars for dessert.

Summary
Because the barbecue is seasonal, dates are usually not entered into
the WDW-DINE reservations system until late February or early March.
Once the dates are in the system, you can make an advance reservation
for anytime during the dinner show's ten-month season.
The easiest way to get to the barbecue is to take a boat from the
Magic Kingdom or from one of the resorts on the Magic Kingdom
monorail. Though getting to the barbecue is not nearly as difficult as
commuting to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, give yourself at least 45 minutes
if you plan to arrive by boat.
Boat service may be suspended during thunderstorms, so if it's raining or looks like it's about to, Disney will provide bus service from the parks.
