Jedi Training to End at Disneyland

There will be no more light saber duels at Disneyland as it was announced that the Tomorrowland attraction will no longer be taking place. The last performance will take place on the Tomorrowland Terrace stage on November 3.

During the show,  Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple,  30 youngins train to fight with a lightsaber. Just when the training ends, Darth Vader and the Seventh Sister arrive, and the young recruits meet them in “battle,” with each Jedi getting his or her turn. The show then ends with a Jedi apprentice facing off against Kylo Ren. The show takes place multiple times per day.

Disneyland officials have not indicated if Jedi Training will be a part of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Rumors were also swirling at the Jedi Training: Trails of the Temple would also be ending at Walt Disney World’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios, however, it has been reported that that is not the case.

  • Sad, my wife and I always enjoyed the show while enjoying a burger for lunch. Really not enjoying the direction Disneyland is going these days

  • While I’m sad for people in Calif, I’m super excited they’re keeping it in FL. My Aspergers son (think Young Sheldon) broke down crying several years ago the last time we were there because I misjudged how long the Great Movie Ride would take and we missed our assigned time and it was given to a backup kid already. My son has been asking for years to do it this year before he misses the age cutoff for it. We have a trip planned in late November and I’ve been fearing they’d close it just before we arrive.
