A New Spot in EPCOT for Snacks and Sangria for Two!
In case you missed the news, the Morocco Pavilion in EPCOT is now under Disney management. We’ve been anticipating there to be some changes to this pavilion, and the latest is an addition of a snack and beverage cart. Tucked within the beautiful brass bazaar, this cart serves up snacks that are great for on the go, or for sitting and savoring the exotic atmosphere of this pavilion.
Chrissy grabbed the Roasted Seasoned Chick Peas, the Mixed Nuts and Dates, and the Mediterranean Olives. The portion size of each would make them sharable with two people; any more than that and it may become skimpy. The mixed nuts have a great warm, smoky flavor and the dates give a wonderful sweetness. The Chick Peas have an expected spice, including cumin. Chrissy says she would get those and the nuts and dates again but won’t get the olive mix. The garlic was the strongest flavor and overpowered it all.
The price of each is within Disney’s inflated pricing. The Marinated Olives are $5.25 which is more than a comparable item like this would be at an Orlando area market, and the Mixed Nuts are $6.00. But, this pricing is typical for Walt Disney World snacks.
The flavors of each snack gave the authentic warm spiced flavors we would expect. But the spice level is approachable even for those that are not familiar with Moroccan or Mediterranean flavors.
This cart also sells soft drinks, bottled beer, and Sharable Sangria! You can choose between white or red sangria, which is kept in chilled beverage dispensers. When you order your Sharable Sangria it is poured into a plastic carafe with some fresh fruit. At $20.00 this serves two, so that’s $10.00 per serving, which is a decent value.
The Sharable Sangria paired with these snacks would make for a great afternoon nosh. Grab one of the tables and chairs around the market and enjoy the authentic atmosphere.
We’re excited about this new snack and beverage cart and think it’s a nice addition. With Tangerine Café and Restaurant Marrakesh both still temporarily closed, sadly, it’s nice to have another option for some Mediterranean flavors.

Those snacks look totally on theme for the pavilion, but the cart looks like crap. Did they really need the juice dispensers from a movie theater? Would it have been too much trouble to get something that looks traditional?
