Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to Open October 1
Just in time for the beginning of the Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be opening on October 1! The new attraction will be opening in the brand new section of the France Pavilion at EPCOT.
The attraction is a duplicate of the one that can be found at the Disneyland Paris Resort and takes Guests into the world of everyone’s favorite “Little Chef,” Remy. During the attraction, you will scurry through Gusteau’s restaurant on a wild adventure that is fun for the whole family (That means there is no height requirement!)
As mentioned, the attraction can be found in a brand new section of the France Pavilion, where Guests will also find the brand new La Crêperie de Paris. This new restaurant will offer both table service and quick service options. The menu will feature sweet crepes, savory buckwheat galettes (naturally gluten friendly) and authentic French hard cider.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is just one small piece of the “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” This 18-month event will feature new experiences at the four Walt Disney World theme parks and beyond. Details about what’s has been revealed about the celebration can be found here. Stay tuned to the blog for further details on The World’s Most Magical Celebration, including more details about what to expect with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
The most disappointing part of this is that Chapek said no other new attractions would be opening this year. I was still hopeful that one of Disney’s two coasters under construction would open this fall and the other one would open in spring or summer next year. Now I’m hoping we at least get one of them. Meanwhile, Universal is pushing ahead with their new coaster.
From all I’ve heard, Remy is ready to go right now. Sadly, all of the other attractions that would have opened by October 1st (Guardains, Tron, Play Pavilion, Moana Water) wont be ready or have been delayed/cancelled (Mary Poppins, Spaceship Earth update). So Disney needs some major attraction to open for the 50th. Hopefully, the 100th anniversary of the whole company in 2023 will be the big event that we were hoping for this year.
