Disney & Universal Crowd Calendar Updates: April – June 2026
We’ve released updated crowd calendar forecasts for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Universal Orlando for April, May, and June, 2026. Here’s a summary of those changes:
Walt Disney World Crowd Calendar Updates for April, May, and June 2026
Updates include slightly increased crowds for these parks and dates, based on now-announced attraction openings:
- April 8, 2026: Magic Kingdom +1 for the re-opening of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland.
- May 1 – 9, 2026: Magic Kingdom +1 for the “early May” re-opening of Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland.
- May 13, 2026: Magic Kingdom crowd level set to 1 to account for park 5:30 pm closing for a private event. Other park crowd levels +1.
- May 22-31, 2026: Hollywood Studios crowd levels +1 for attraction openings including Magic of Disney Animation and Disney Junior. We think the internal target for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is around this time as well.
- May 26, 2026: EPCOT +2 for Soarin’ Over America opening and DAK +1 for the new Bluey meet & greet in Conservation Station.
Our last set of Walt Disney World crowd calendar updates was on February 10, 2026. Those forecasts improved the calendar’s accuracy:
- Magic Kingdom actuals are +/- 1.2 versus predictions. Predictions for 26 of those 40 days were either correct or off by 1.
- EPCOT actuals are +/- 1.3 versus predictions. Predictions for 20 of those 40 days were either correct or off by 1.
- Hollywood Studios actuals are +/- 1.2 versus predictions. Predictions for 17 of those 40 days were either correct or off by 1.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom actuals are +/- 1.3 versus predictions. Predictions for 20 of those 40 days were either correct or off by 1.
The calendar’s worst day with the new updates was Tuesday, February 17. The Magic Kingdom was a 9 versus our prediction of 5. We also underpredicted EPCOT by 4 on Sunday, February 22, when 11% of the park’s ride capacity was unexpectedly offline. It’s normal to see 2-4% downtime in any park on any day, so 11% is a lot.
The most recent updates also addressed the calendar’s long-term overprediction trend. Since those updates went into place we’re roughly even on over- and under-predicting crowds.
Disneyland Crowd Calendar Updates for April, May, and June 2026
Disneyland crowd calendar updates include adjustments for these upcoming events:
- April 27, 2026: The last day to use “Sip & Savor” passes for DCA’s Food & Wine Festival.
- May 18, 2026: The last day to use discounted 3-day Park Hopper tickets adds +1 to each park.
- June 2026: Weekdays are adjusted to take into account Explore Key reservation availability, which was blacked out in the past.
These updates also include adjustments based on what we’ve seen since our last set of Disneyland crowd calendar updates, also on February 10, 2026.
Those updates still have us overpredicting crowds at Disneyland, where we’re +/- 2.3 since Feb 10, with 20 of the last 30 days overpredicted. It’s a bit better at DCA where we’re +/- 1.8 and only slightly over-predicting (5 of the last 30 days), but that’s still not the +/- 1.0 goal we have.
Universal Orlando Crowd Calendar Updates for April, May, and June 2026
I’m happy with the Epic Universe Crowd Calendar performance since the February 10 update. We’re +/- 1.1 at Epic Universe since then, with 22 of 40 days either correct or off by 1. That makes Epic Universe our best-performing park over that time.
The big challenges with Epic Universe continue to be ride reliability and ride capacity. In addition, Epic Universe has been adjusting the attraction lineup for its Early Park Admission benefit, making it hard to forecast which attractions already have lines when the park opens to the general public.
Here’s our stats for Universal Orlando since February 10:
- Universal Studios Florida: actuals are +/- 1.3 versus predictions
- Islands of Adventure: actuals are +/- 1.8 versus predictions
- Epic Universe: actuals are +/- 1.1 versus predictions
Today’s updates are designed to address IOA’s calendar gaps specifically. IOA has the third-highest average crowd level since February 10, behind Epic Universe and Disney California Adventure. My initial guess is that folks visiting Epic Universe are also visiting IOA and at a higher rate than they’re visiting Universal Studios Florida.
Upcoming Crowd Calendar Updates
We’ll update the calendar again in April, when we’ll presumably know more about Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster specifically. In the meantime, leave a comment below with any trip-planning questions we can help with.

I really appreciate the effort to adjust and document
