Changes Coming For Stroller Rental Companies at Walt Disney World
A little less than a year ago, Disney changed its policy for wheelchair rental companies, only allowing preferred vendors to pick up or drop off items at the Bell Stand or Front Desk of a hotel. It now appears that, starting on September 1, that same thing will happen in relation to stroller rental companies.
Once the new policy goes into effect, only preferred vendors that Disney has approved will be able to pick up and drop off not only strollers, but other popular “hard good” item rentals. These items include rented cribs and accessories, playpens, booster seats, high chairs, baby toys, car seats, baby activity devices, diaper genies, changing tables, etc.
Equipment from non-approved vendors may not be left at any resort to be picked up by a guest or said vendor. These unapproved vendors will need to arrange a time to meet directly with their customers for both pick up and drop off. Disney cast members will no longer be able to assist with the rental process by temporarily storing products from unapproved vendors.
It appears that approved vendors will include Kingdom Strollers, Magic Strollers, and Orlando Stroller Rentals. (See our Summer 2012 blog post for our experiences with these vendors and others.)
Keep in mind that there are a few exceptions to the rule. Consumables, such as formula, baby food, diapers, pacifiers, etc, may still continued to be dropped off by all vendors.

So I just called Disney to verify the allowed vendors, and the person I talked to informed me that Kingdom Strollers is the only approved vendor. I specifically asked about Magic Strollers, and Orlando Stroller Rentals and they said that neither vendor was allowed.
Sad to see Disney going out of their way to provide LESS customer service than the industry standard. If I were staying at the Sheraton in downtown Orlando, there wouldn’t even be a question of whether the front desk could accept deliveries on my behalf or hold an item for pickup. At what point does the “Disney difference” become a net-negative?
I recieved an EXCELLENT price, no hassle double stroller rental (rolls right onto monorail and through normal doors). My kids were 5 and 3 and loved it! P&K Family Rentals (new company, cool strollers) were soooo nice and Extremely CLEAN, thought it was brand new. Loved their Valco Baby Strollers-Best customer service ever and they delivered to resort. I needed a stroller the entire stay and our Resort and Disney’s only in Park rental doesn’t work for us. Oh, we ended up renting a car seat too! Disney should consider renting strollers to their Resort Guest for duration of the their stay. Disney needs clean comfortable sturdy strollers. The Park Strollers are plastic, uncomfortable sweat boxes. Disney should really consider the true needs of parents with children. After all, it is suppose to be a magical experience, even for our little children.
I think I see the handwriting on the wall. Soon they’ll be restricting what companies will be allowed to drop off groceries.
Wow. Disney really wants to make things as difficult as possible for the guest. What ever happened to their award-winning-can’t-be-beat-a-cut-above-the-rest-set-the-standard customer service? Out the door for profits, I guess. I bet you need to pay to be an approved vendor. Liking Disney less and less these days.
I’m curious about Apple strollers too. We are using them in Oct.

I believe the ones I posted are the approved ones. Kingdom Strollers, Magic Strollers, and Orlando Stroller Rentals. Of course that could change. But I believe that to be right.

What about Apple Stroller? Aren’t they an approved vendor for ECV rentals (ie – in turn approved for strollers as well)? We have a drop-off at BLT currently scheduled for 9/18…

We used Baby Wheels for the first time last week and were very happy with them. It would be a shame if they weren’t included.
Somewhat confused… You listed baby food and diapers as exceptions to the new policy but these are consumables, not rentals. Does the policy also limit the number of grocery stores who can drop off at resorts? (I don’t use this service myself but I know many people who do.)
The grocery policy has not changed. At this time, all grocery vendors are allowed to drop off goods.
What about baby wheels Orlando?
I received an email for baby wheels Orlando and they are unable to drop off with bell service at this time. You have to arrange a time to meet them at the resort to pick up the stroller and drop it off. I rented from them last year and they were amazing! I am keeping my reservation with them and I hope you are able to do the same.
That stinks. Glad the policy wasn’t in place a few weeks ago. It’s a shame that guests now have to make arrangements with the companies. Sounds like that could be a real mess at the busy times of the year.
Any of them rent Sit and Stands or plan too?
