Tom Sawyer Island affords great views of Frontierland and Liberty Square. If you’re looking for a midday break as crowds reach their peak, few places in the park are better than this little island.

Grab some take away quick service in park, or a picnic pack from Publix.
And take it to Tom Sawyer Island (at “Aunt Polly Porch”) and have a picnic at one of the most charming and secluded in park picnic places in WDW. I’d recomend some fried chicken ‘box lunch’ from the nearby Publix.
Why Yes…you can bring in a box lunch into the park. No Glass Bottles, No Alcohol, No ‘loose ice” …(but you can get a cup of ice at all the quick service places)

The crowds are back? Disney just announced they aren’t changing capacity limits. The idea of crowds/Covid is a huge NO for our family even with masks. Ugh. Just when we were ready to consider coming down.
