Sometimes Disney Springs is just what you need during your trip to Disney World. You don’t need a park reservation, you can use your phone for photos instead of a schedule, and it’s fairly easy to get to. And there’s no need to apologize if your idea of a good time on vacation includes some retail therapy or a cookie that can serve four people. Disney calls the Springs “a themed retail, dining and entertainment center.” And that’s why we think Instagram is a great way to get a taste what to expect there – shopping, dining, and entertainment come alive in photos.

The Official Disney Springs Account

The obvious place to begin is @disneysprings. We like this account because it’s a good way to see seasonal happenings – like Fall Into Magic – and Springs-wide events, like the Flavors of Florida. Somehow @disneysprings feels less corporate and more fun than its big brother, @waltdisneyworld.

Three Disney Springs Food Accounts We Love

Because Disney Springs has a mix of Disney-owned and operated and third-party establishments, it’s worth your time to seek out individual shops. Two of our favorite snack-related accounts are @saltandstraw and @gideonsbakehouse. Follow them to learn about monthly specials and new flavors. Salt & Straw drops five new flavors every month that may sound too adventurous for some palates, but we encourage you to at least give them a taste before going for that Double Fold Vanilla.

Gideon’s features a monthly limited edition cookie and a weekly cake slice schedule. Keep in mind that Gideon’s is almost as well known for its virtual queue as its cookies. You can scroll through their feed of amazing half-pound cookies, gorgeous cakes, and cheeky merchandise as your turn to enter the line comes up.

We love that both these accounts give you a personal connection to the people behind the brands. Whether it’s Steve, the owner of Gideon’s, accepting an award for retail design or Salt & Straw’s “Head Ice Cream Maker” Tyler showing off the monthly featured flavors, these accounts feel like old friends.

Speaking of personal, it doesn’t get much more personal than having your name in your business name. George Miliotes’ @winebargeorge is popular with resort guests and locals because the Master Sommelier has created a menu of beautifully paired wines and dishes. It is the highest rated Disney Springs restaurant by our users. The menu changes frequently and this Instagram account is a great way to keep up.

Disney Springs Shopping and Entertainment Accounts

Disney Springs is a good place to do souvenir shopping. Why take time out of your park day when you can get it done all in one place? Even though World of Disney, Disney Style, and other Disney-owned merchandise shops don’t have separate accounts, @shopdisney gives an overview of Disney merch available in and out of the parks so you can plan your purchases ahead of time. The @disneysprings account is also a good source for everything from Lego to the latest Dooney & Bourke releases to innovations in mouse ears.

Interested in Disney Springs entertainment? You can follow #drawntolife for posts about the Cirque Du Soleil show, @hoborlando for concert schedules at House of Blues, or @splitsville.orlando before you put on your bowling shoes at Splitsville.

Put down your phone and pick up a bowling ball at Splitsville in Disney Springs.
