EIGHT New Games & No More Virtual Queue at Bluey’s Wild World

Today is the first day that Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station in Disney’s Animal Kingdom moves from a virtual queue to standby lines and we stopped by see the changes. If you’re new to the Bluey / Disney news, check out this post from last week!

Wait times for Bluey’s Wild World ~that’s the show where kids can play with Bluey & Bingo ~ now appear on the My Disney Experience (MDE) app as shown in the image above. Disney has also installed a double wait time sign at the entrance to the Wildlife Express Train in Harambe. The sign, above, shows that there is one wait time for the train that takes you to Conservation Station, and one wait time for the show once you arrive.

The standby queue at the train station is the usual roped off switch back style lines we’re accustomed to seeing. The line for the actual show once you make it to Conservation Station is mostly outside under scattered umbrellas.

New Games!

We reported on four games during the 13 minute show last week on opening day, but we discovered today that Disney has added eight additional games into the rotation! Having a total of twelve games is a huge incentive for families to stay out at Conservation Station longer! This also makes the time it takes getting to and from the show location less of a negative.

The two games that will stay in every show are:

  1. Magic Asparagus: The host holds a giant asparagus and points to the children while shouting out animal names. The children make the assigned animal sounds.
  2. Keepy Uppy: Soft rubber balls, around the size of a basketball, are thrown into the crowd for the kids to, well, keep(y) up.

We saw four new games today in addition to the two already mentioned. Please note, there are only four games in each show and only two will rotate. We stayed to observe a few shows so we could document the changes. The four new games that we saw today:

  1. Duck!: This is a game of limbo! Bluey and Bingo hold a padded limbo bar and the kids boogey under walking like their favorite animal. Hilarious!
  2. Octopus Freeze Tag: Cast Members walk the crowd with stuffed octopus tentacles touching the kids who are then supposed to freeze for three seconds.
  3. Elephant / Follow the Leader: Basically a parade of tiny Bluey fans trying to stay in a line. Precious to see.
  4. Animal Statue: Kids are to find their animal pose and hold it. Sort of like Octopus Freeze Tag but make it animal themed.

We read some of the less-than-enthusiastic reviews of this show last week and we have to offer a hard disagree. If your tiny person is obsessed with Bluey & Bingo, or Granny Janet & Granny Rita, making the trek to Conservation Station is going to make you a hero. The ideal age seems to be between 2 and 8 years, but we’ve seen older kids having a great time, too. Now that Disney has made this show more accessible and varied the games, we fully endorse spending some time with the Heeler kids.

  • What’s the best strategy for lowest wait? Rope drop?

100%! We’re monitoring the posted and actual waits but only have a few days of data now. If you have Early Entry, plan to rope drop for sure. If your group can manage it, plan to hang out for two shows so you get to have two totally different experiences!
