New T-Shirt Walls at the Emporium

The large center room at the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom was once the home of all things princess. The princess merchandise has now been dispersed throughout the store or relocated to Sir Mickey’s, and the new theme of the center Emporium room is now T-SHIRT WALL. It’s kinda like the Newbury Comics in your local mall has settled down right in the middle of Main Street U.S.A.

The same style of shirt display is now being used in other areas of the Emporium as well, including in the children’s and adult unisex shirt sections.

As a consumer, I’m okay with this form of display. I like seeing what all the options are in an easy glance. But my heart goes out to the cast members that have to maintain these displays, refolding shirts and putting them in order every time a guest rifles through them trying to find the right size.

What do you think of the new set-up? How do you feel about the relocation of the princess merch? Let us know in the comments.

  • Job security with maintaining & folding – just saying! I say that about my job too. If no one ever needed me, I’d be out of a job… It’s a good thing!

  • Wondering if they have women’s fit or v neck?

    • There are women’s fit and V-neck styles available, but not in these displays. Women’s clothing is typically sold in the Emporium room closest to Casey’s, on the Main Street side of the store.

  • IF I see a shirt I like I can never find my size. So frustrating. I even ask for help from cast members with no luck.

    • I hear you. The stores with the widest array of sizes tend to be World of Disney at Disney Springs and Mouse Gear in Epcot. If you see a shirt you like but don’t see your size, bring it to a register. A cashier should be able to scan the bar code and tell you if your size of that shirt is sold anywhere at WDW and if so, at which locations.

      • In the now-defunct Shop Disney Parks app, you could scan the barcode on an item and find out which shop in a WDW park had your size. I do not see this option in the current ShopDisney App or My Disney Experience App.
