Top 3 Things We Ate This Week, May 29, 2021

The TouringPlans in-park team gets to try a lot of food. From quick service locations to table service meals and snacks in between, we try so many different foods to help keep information on our site up to date. Sometimes foods and drinks are wonderful. Other times, not as much. But what really rose to the top? Here’s our top 3 foods the in-park team sampled this week.

Blueberry Waffle Breakfast

There’s something about putting waffles into a Mickey shape that just makes them taste better. And when they’re served in a theme park, that makes them even better. But adding blueberries and serving them with strawberries and whipped cream? It’s a wonderful breakfast on the go from Hollywood Scoops at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Of course we had to get a Mimosa and a Bloody Mary too, for research of course.

Chocolate Extinction

We’ll have a full review of our trip to T-Rex coming up soon on the blog, but we had to include this dessert on our list. The Chocolate Extinction has chocolate fudge cake, fudge and caramel sauces, ice cream, and more. With dry ice “smoke” the presentation is amazing, and serving four this dessert is a show-stopper! (It tastes delicious, too!)

S’mores Donut

Summer is coming in hard this weekend with soaring temperatures throughout Central Florida. But that also means that some great summertime flavors just feel right, too. Over at Everglazed at Disney Springs, we tried several donuts, and our favorite was the s’mores donut. A glazed donut with chocolate frosting, graham crackers, and a torched marshmallow, it’s a bite of summertime fun for breakfast (or any time of day, really).

That’s just some of the amazing things we’ve eaten this week. Have any suggestions for us next week? Let us know in the comments.
