Description And Comments
The Twirl 'n' Hurl is primarily eye candy for Springfield U.S.A., USF's Simpsons-themed area. Think of it as Dumbo the Flying Elephant with Bart's sense of humor: Guests ride around in little flying saucers while the alien narrators, Kang and Kodos, hold pictures of Simpson characters for you to blast away at with a ray gun. All the while, Kang exhorts you (loudly) to destroy Springfield and makes insulting comments about humans. Preschoolers enjoy the ride, while older kids and Simpsons fans (so, everyone) crack up over the gags.
Spinner rides are slow-loading and not particularly exciting, yet they can be immensely popular, especially among the toddler set. If you want to hear the jokes without the line, you can easily hear them all from the sidelines.
If anyone in your group wants to ride without much of a wait, try before 11:00 am. It should take awhile for most guests to arrive in Springfield, U.S.A., especially with Diagon Alley, Transformers, and Despicable Me keeping guests busy elsewhere.
This chart shows you roughly how long you'll wait for Kang & Kodos' Twirl 'n' Hurl when you visit on a day with a given Universal Studios Florida Crowd Level. The blue bars represent the average "peak" wait time (that is, how long the line will at its busiest). The bottom and top black lines represent the range of peak wait times to expect (for you fellow nerds out there: it's the 5th percentile and 95th percentile of peak wait times). Please note that these are estimates, and for a better forecast for your travel dates, see Kang & Kodos' Twirl 'n' Hurl Wait Times.
