Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Villas, Kidani Village
Lunch $15-$24 (child $8.59), dinner $18-$34 (child $8.59)
Sanaa (sah-NAH) has become a favorite of Disney cast members and locals—the flavors are addicting. It’s not as upscale as Jiko, the resort’s fine-dining restaurant (page 358), offering instead a casual take on African-Indian fusion cuisine.
Setting and Atmosphere
A floor down from the Kidani Village lobby, Sanaa’s casual dining room is inspired by African outdoor markets, with baskets, beads, and art on the walls. It’s a cozy space, with 9-foot-tall windows that look out on the resort’s savanna—giraffes, water buffalo, and other animals wander within yards of you as you dine.
Starters include Indian-style breads (naan, onion kulcha, and paneer paratha) served with red-chile sambal, spicy jalapeno-lime pickle, coriander chutney, and cucumber raita; tandoori chicken; sustainable fish with shrimp and scallops. For lunch, lamb kefta sliders and tandoori shrimp sandwich; for dinner, butter chicken, chicken vindaloo, seafood curry, and sustainable fish. Diverse Old and New World wines pair beautifully with the food.
Tandoori-marinated pork tenderloin, Tanzanian chocolate mousse.
