Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village, Kidani Village
Lunch $15–$26 (child $11–$12), dinner $19–$35 (child $11–$12)
Sanaa (sah-NAH) is a favorite of Disney cast members and locals—the flavors are addicting. It’s not as upscale as Jiko—The Cooking Place, the resort’s fine-dining restaurant (page 361), offering instead a casual take on African–Indian fusion cuisine. If the dining room looks too crowded, the cozy bar room on the side is available for fullmenu dining—just without the animals on parade.
Setting and Atmosphere
A floor down from the Kidani Village lobby, Sanaa’s casual dining room is inspired by African outdoor markets, with baskets, beads, and art on the walls. It’s a cozy space, with 9-foot-tall windows that look out on the resort’s savanna—giraffes, water buffalo, and other animals wander within yards of you as you dine.
Starters include Indian-style breads (naan, onion kulcha, and paneer paratha) served with red-chile sambal, spicy jalapeño-lime pickle, coriander chutney, and cucumber raita; tandoori chicken; sustainable fish. For lunch: lamb kefta sliders and tandoori shrimp sandwich. For dinner: butter chicken, seafood curry, and sustainable fish. Diverse Old and New World wines pair beautifully with the food.
Tanzanian chocolate mousse.
