#AskIt – Best Food Other Than Epcot
We posted a question on Twitter over the weekend, asking which is the worst Disney World park to find yourself in if you’re hungry. Disney’s Hollywood Studios was the overwhelming “winner” of that flash poll. Today’s Ask is a more positive twist on that:
Other than Epcot, which Walt Disney World park has the best food?
- Animal Kingdom (69%, 223 Votes)
- Magic Kingdom (26%, 85 Votes)
- Hollywood Studios (5%, 17 Votes)
Total Voters: 325
We took Epcot out of the running because it’s a ringer. Between the 9 months of festivals each year and the food focus of World Showcase, it didn’t seem interesting to put it in the question. But maybe you think one of the other parks is even better for dining than Epcot. If so, talk about it in the comments. What makes one park better than the others for hungry guests? We want to hear your thoughts.
Last week on the blog we asked which park is best for Independence Day. Magic Kingdom, took the honors there. Interestingly, Animal Kingdom, which has no fireworks and doesn’t really do anything for the 4th, slightly edged out Hollywood Studios. It wasn’t a great week for DHS on our polls, but at least Toy Story Land is open.
We also put out a secret second bonus question that’s been burning in my mind for awhile. What’s up with all the custom t-shirts? More than 2/3 of you said “nay” on these for your vacations, but my thoroughly unscientific observations every time I go into a park say they are wildly popular. Are you an Etsy shop making a living on these? Are you a guest who loves the look of a matched set on your Instagram? I really want to know.
That’s it for this week. Follow us on Twitter for random musings. And let me know if you have a burning question that can be summed up in a multiple choice question with no more than 4 choices and 280 characters – we’ll try to ask it for you. And remember for opinions that are more scientific we do poll our users after their trips on everything from restaurants to their rental car experiences. Your answers help make everyone’s trips better.
Animal Kingdom beats all the other parks (including Epcot) for quick service, with Yak & Yeti Local, Flame Tree, Harambe Market, and Satuli Canteen. Tiffins on the table service side only cements AK’s clear victory.
But while AK is the deserving overall winner, Hollywood Studios deserves a shout out because the Brown Derby, for me, is the best restaurant in any of the 4 parks. I love Sci Fi and Prime Time too–but for their theming, and the poll asked specifically about food… And then every other option in that park… yeah.
