More Entertainment Returns This Summer at Walt Disney World

Do you love the entertainment aspects of a Walt Disney World vacation? Well, today, I bring big news. That’s because four more fan-favorite entertainment offerings are returning soon!

Starting August 1, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests will be able to experience the return of the nighttime show, “Wonderful World of Animation.” This cinematic experience transforms the Chinese Theater using projections and tells the story of more than 90 years of Disney animation.

But that’s not the only show returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. On August 15, “Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage” will debut once again at the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard.

Moving over to the Magic Kingdom, Guests will once again be able to visit Monstropolis at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, beginning on August 8.

At EPCOT, beginning August 21, you can get your most pressing turtle questions answered during Turtle Talk with Crush.

We have some sad news to bring you though. Since on October 1, there will be two all-new nighttime spectaculars debuting, “Disney Enchantment” and “Harmonious” that will be debuting October 1, this summer is your last chance to catch the current fireworks shows before they end forever. That means that “EPCOT Forever” will conclude its limited-time run on September 28. The one that surprises me is the official end of “Happily Ever After” at the Magic Kingdom. The last showing of that fireworks spectacular is on September 29.

Stay tuned for more updates here on the blog!

  • Is Disney not paying attention to the surging Covid cases because of Delta, which is way more infectious than prior strains? This is particularly dangerous in places like Florida with lower vaccination rates. And Delta is hitting young people hard. Packed crowds? No thanks, too soon.

    • Cases have been rising for a month, but the number of deaths have fallen during that time. The numbers aren’t showing the delta variant being more dangerous despite media claims.

    • I get it. Safety at any time in life is not guaranteed—pandemic or otherwise. Those who would rather not go to WDW do not have to go… 1.3 million people per year die in car accidents in the U.S., should we ban driving?

      • Not really the place to discuss this, but … motor vehicle deaths in the U.S. were just over 36,000 in both 2018 and 2019. Not 1.3 million.

  • Weird that they would bring back DHS’s evening projection show and not its FIREWORKS and projection show.

  • Great news! Hopefully the return of Finding Nemo, Indiana Jones, and other shows are right around the corner. The parks need those people-eating shows!
