REVIEW – The NEW Paint Can Cake at Hollywood Studios Has Us Tickled Pink

The food at Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues to impress. The latest specialty dessert to arrive at this Tinsel Town themed park is the Paint Can Cake. The name alone doesn’t sound too appealing, right? But, it’s oh-so-good and available via mobile order at Backlot Express.

At first I couldn’t figure out what a paint can would have to do with Backlot Express. But considering the prop shop and movie set theme of this quick service location it kind of makes sense.

Chrissy on our team gave it a try and declared this little cake a “wow!” The vanilla buttercream was smooth. The gray icing was pretty standard, but the yellow was fruity and tropical.

The Paint Can Cake is a classic vanilla cake with a slight tropical twist. And, it is quite photogenic too.

Would you try this cake? What’s your favorite treat at Hollywood Studios?

  • That icing-to-cake ratio looks kinda messed up…

    • That’s what I was thinking! I love icing, but that’s a whole lot for that little cake.
