The Pinocchio Village Haus: We Can’t Lie About This One

When I first started visiting Walt Disney World as an adult, the rule was “Never Eat in Fantasyland”. Options have gotten better in recent years, but there are some places that are consistently weak in terms of menu selection and food quality. One of these is The Pinocchio Village Haus.

Located behind Cinderella Castle next to it’s a small world, The Pinocchio Village Haus is a quick-service restaurant serving pizza and pasta. TouringPlans readers give it an 80% thumbs up rating, and it is ranked 65th out of 109 similar restaurants at Walt Disney World. Portion sizes are medium, and we rate it a C for value, with “Fair” food quality.

On a recent visit, Ivonne from our team tried the Cheese Flatbread ($11.99), Caesar Salad ($8.99), and Breadsticks with Marinara Sauce ($4.99).

Simply put, the food here isn’t all that inspired. The cheese flatbread has little flavor, although the portion size is large enough to share. The Caesar salad is what you’d expect–a helping of romaine lettuce with some shredded parmesan and croutons (and creamy Caesar dressing served on the side). The salad was fresh and tasty, but it does seem a bit high for the price. The breadsticks are probably the best reason to come here. They have a good flavor, and the price doesn’t feel too high for what you get. This is one of those “snacks that could be a meal” options. There was enough sauce with the breadsticks to dip some of the flatbread into, to try and add a bit more flavor.

If you have a picky eater, there’s nothing here that will be challenging. It’s basic food, and basic flavors. For some families, that may be exactly what they’re looking for. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, although the amount of seating is currently reduced for COVID-19 precautions. Among the most popular parts of the restaurant are the tables with windows that overlook the launch area for it’s a small world. This can provide a lot of people watching enjoyment.

Overall, our nose would be growing if we said this was our first, or even one of our top 5, places to eat at Magic Kingdom. But if you’re looking for something that is picky eater approved, or a filling snack of breadsticks and marinara with a view of it’s a small world, this may be a good option for a quick bite.
